Randy moved to approve the minutes. Bob seconded the motion. There were no objections. ------------- New Discussion: BIRD201 Back-channel Statistical Optimization: Walter had sent a draft with the updates as requested, and he suggested to wait for Radek to confirm if this is sufficient. Arpad stated Bob also made some changes. Bob noted he has additional comments and questions on the BIRD. Bob moved the AMI_Impulse function and arguments definition text to section 10.2.3. Arpad asked if the first sentence under impulse_matrix is missing the word "as". Bob made this correction. Bob moved the introductions to section 10.9. He suggested to change the first paragraph to include BCI_Training_Mode. Bob commented a "List" with a single value is valid syntax, and he has added this to the Allowed Formats. Randy asked if Impulse and GetWave need to be in quotes in the definition section. Bob replied these should be in quotes, as well the syntax word "Both" should also be in quotes. Bob noted some of the sentences in the usage rules section are wordy, and he suggested to simplify these sentences to begin with "In order to run". Bob noted, in the repeater sections, there is a set of flow instructions without headings, and he added headings that can be referred to by name. Bob also added a heading for section 10.9.4. Bob stated BCI_Training_Mode was added to both the tables. And the first supported version is listed as IBIS 7.1. Bob noted there is no heading for the introduction section, but to add one, we would have to renumber the sections and their references. Randy asked if Radek still needs to review these changes. Walter noted the changes from Radek had to do with the states: "Converged", "Error", and "Failed". The question is what is the difference between "Failed" and "Error". Walter noted that both have the same description currently. Arpad commented "Error" could be a syntactical error, and "Failed" means it did not converge. Arpad suggested to change the order of 5.b and 5.c. Bob made this change. Randy asked if "Simulation" should be capitalized and suggested to make it lower case. Bob corrected this. Bob will send out bird201.1_draft7. Randy stated we could try to submit this to the IBIS Open Forum for introduction at the Friday June 5th meeting. BIRD198 Keyword additions for On-Die PDN Modeling: Randy had received comments from Bob and Arpad, and he plans to make changes based on these changes. Randy will then send the draft back to the BIRD authors to issue an updated draft. BIRD181.2_draft2: Arpad asked if there are any updates on BIRD181.2. Bob replied he does not yet have an update. - Randy: Motion to adjourn. - Ambrish: Second. - Arpad: Thank you all for joining. AR: Bob to send out bird201.1_draft7. ------------- Next meeting: 2 June 2020 12:00pm PT ------------- IBIS Interconnect SPICE Wish List: 1) Simulator directives
